Skoch Award-2014 for E-Waste collection Project

Here is a trend-setter. In a bid to make the city clean, green and pollution free, Vadodara Municipal Corporation launched e-Waste Collection project early this year and now it is credited to be an initiator as many municipalities have shown willingness to follow the same model. Doing away with e-waste is now only a phone call away. Corporation earns 12 per cent of total value of ewaste from the vendors. The vendors under the guidelines of the pollution control body recycle the waste. This innovative project has created a win-win situation for all stakeholders.
